Surprise Ending

It's been a really good Spring vacation. If the kid's have to write about what they did over the last week they will have plenty to say. They had a sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa's house. They went rock climbing. They had a fun day out with Paul's dad. We went swimming and to the movies. They had a whole day of fun with some old friends who had moved away, but are now back. And we got a visit from the Montana cousins. We didn't really have anything planned for our last weekend of vacation, just rest and get ready to go back to school. Then Saturday morning we got a call from Paul's brother saying that they had just decided to come to Oregon for their vacation, and they'd see us in about 10 hours. The day just could not go fast enough! We were so excited that they were coming. Thanksgiving was a long time ago, and waiting until the family reunion in June to see them has been feeling really far away. We knew it was going to be a really quick visit, but we made the most out of every minute. The kids picked up right where they left off, playing like they'd never been apart. Unfortunately Aunt Barb had to stay home and work, we sure missed her!
The weather on Sunday was gorgeous, so we even got out of the house and took Buster for a swim at the river.

It was so great seeing the kids pal around together. They have such great relationships with each other. The dad's get along pretty well too. They were able to team up later in the evening and "school" the kids on the basketball court.

We sure love these two. We're going to kidnap them for awhile again this Summer.

And now they're off on their way to the beach and we're back to our school routine, and feeling blue. We can't wait to see them later this week, before they head home.

Oh, I bet the kids are having a hard time knowing their cousins are at the beach and they have to go to school...

Glad they had a fun day together and a fun day to look forward to after their week back to school!
