The Face of Defeat

Grayson's first pinewood derby didn't quite live up to his expectations. He didn't have fun. About half way through he curled up on my lap and asked to go home. His car tied for last place. Tears were shed.

Lucky for him he has a dad who knows the value of a special trip for a hot fudge sundae, even if it was already bed time.

Poor kid. I'm sure ice cream and staying up late helped.

Oh how sad! Poor guy. But ice cream is a cure-all, believe me, I know!

I also had a pinewood derby car that took last place... I feel his pain. AND nobody gave me ice cream!
