Lateral Epicondylitis, otherwise known as tendonitis or tennis elbow, that's what the doctor says I have. So that's the good news, nothing too serious. The bad news is she thinks it will take another 4-6 weeks of rest, ice, ibuprofen and wearing an elbow brace to get it back to normal. I think Paul's going to get pretty tired of cutting up my dinner for me by then!

Oh, yikes! I didn't even know you PLAYED tennis. ;) I guy who writes a blog I read has "photographers" elbow (he is a wedding photographer and all the repetitive motion with the heavy camera causes pretty much what you have). He went to see an acupuncturist and he said it really worked. He didn't think it would and was very surprised. What do you think of needles??
Glad it's nothing too serious, but that still doesn't sound too fun. I can't imagine losing function in my right arm for any amount of time. Four to six weeks would be brutal! Good luck!
Seriously! I've heard amazing things about accupuncture!
When I had carpel tunnel acupuncture and chiropractics were both recommended. I hope you start to feel better soon.
Oh wow, I'm so sorry! That's no fun to deal with. I would consider acupuncture, I'm a believer :)
I'm sorry to hear about the cause of your blogging hiatus :( Hope you are feeling better real soon.
BTW...my mom has chronic back pain and has been seeing an acupuncturist for years now. She SWEARS by it!
