Happy May Day

I was so excited when I dropped Rowan off at preschool this morning; they were going to make May Day baskets! I didn't know kids still did this. I totally remember making little paper baskets, filling them with flowers from our yard, and leaving them anonymously on our neighbors front steps. What a fun old fashioned tradition!

I loved that tradition when I was younger. If we had any flowers in our yard, I would have the kids do that!

I guess I missed that tradition when I was younger . . . . but I read about it this morning on another blog and thought it sounded so cool! Who wouldn't love flowers delivered to their doorstep. Last minute I put it on my to-do list, but never got around to it. I'll have to make myself a note for next year!

Happy belated May Day. A fun tradition, one I hope to incorporate someday. Your tulips are exquisite.
